Himaanshika Singh Rajput, who says she was the closest friend of murdered tennis player Radhika Yadav, has shared new claims in a second video about the tragic killing. Radhika, 25, was allegedly shot dead by her father Deepak Yadav on July 10 at their home in Gurugram, Haryana.
Friend Alleges Radhika Suffered Before Her Death
In her latest video, Himaanshika claimed that Radhika had been in deep emotional pain for ten days before her murder. She revealed that Radhika even told her father that she was ready to live by his rules.
“I have been with her, I knew her well. She was a very decent girl but in the last 10 days, her life had become miserable. She had told her father she’s willing to do whatever he says and will live on his terms. But her father was so out of his mind that he had no expression on his face,” Himaanshika said.
She alleged that Radhika’s father planned the murder in advance and had been thinking about it for three days.
Family Pressure and Control Alleged in First Video
In her earlier video on Instagram, titled “Part-I”, Himaanshika talked about the mental stress Radhika faced at home. She said Radhika’s parents were strict, conservative, and obsessed with social image.
“She loved getting clicked photos and recording videos but left all those hobbies due to parental pressure as they thought what society would think of them. They were extremely orthodox,” she alleged.
Himaanshika said Radhika felt trapped at home, having to explain every move to her parents. She also mentioned they had been close friends for 8 to 10 years.
Her first video quickly went viral, gaining over 2 million views and thousands of comments in less than a day.
Himaanshika Posts a Tribute Video for Radhika
Along with the revelations, Himaanshika also shared a tribute video to honor her late friend. The emotional clip was created in Radhika’s memory and has received a strong response on social media.
Neighbour Claims Caste Was an Issue
Meanwhile, a neighbour from the Yadavs’ native village Wazirabad—the same village known for influencer Elvish Yadav—shared another possible reason behind the tragedy.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the neighbour said, “Radhika wanted to marry someone outside her caste but her father wanted the marriage in the same caste. He was old school and conservative.”
The Shocking Murder
Radhika Yadav was shot four times in the back with a licensed revolver by her father Deepak Yadav. The shooting happened at their Sector 57 home in Gurugram. Preliminary police investigation suggests that Deepak was unhappy with Radhika’s rising success as a tennis player and her growing presence on social media.
