Three masked men opened fire outside the Gurugram residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav early Sunday morning. The shocking incident occurred around 5:30 am in Sector 57, Haryana, police officials confirmed.

According to Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Kumar, “More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing.” The YouTuber is currently outside Haryana.

Visuals Show Extent of Damage

Videos and images shared by ANI show shattered glass, bullet marks, and a damaged ceiling. Yadav’s home, spread across the second and third floors of the building, was hit by multiple rounds. His caretaker and some family members were inside during the firing, but no injuries were reported.

Police said the attackers fired over two dozen bullets before fleeing the spot. The gunfire struck both the ground and first floors of the property.

Police Begin Investigation

Forensic teams collected samples from the scene. Officials also began scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas. Police confirmed that legal proceedings are underway and an FIR will be registered once Yadav’s family files a formal complaint.

A senior officer stated that a detailed investigation is being conducted to identify the shooters. A relative of Yadav told PTI that the YouTuber had not received any prior threats before the attack.

Ongoing Snake Venom Case Against Elvish Yadav

The firing incident comes as Elvish Yadav continues to face a separate criminal trial. The YouTuber has been named in a case linked to the alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties.

In May this year, the Allahabad High Court rejected Yadav’s petition challenging the chargesheet in the case. His lawyers argued that he had not attended the Noida party where the alleged offence took place. They also said that no snakes, narcotics, or psychotropic substances were recovered from him.

Senior advocate Navin Sinha and lawyer Nipun Singh further contended that the complainant lacked the authority to file the case under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Despite the defence, the court allowed criminal proceedings to continue.

Noida Police arrested Yadav in March last year in connection with the case. He was later released on bail but continues to face trial.

Shockwaves Across Fans and Social Media

Fans have expressed amazement at the shooting attack. Reactions are pouring in on social media, with many people worried about Yadav’s safety. To find and apprehend the gunmen, police warned that their investigations will get more intense in the days ahead.
