Earlier this month, the producers of the new film ‘Maarigallu’ released a special animation teaser bringing back Puneeth Rajkumar as Mayura Sharma, the founder of the Kadamba dynasty. With the help of AI and animation technology, the sequence read by actor Dhananjaya brought the late star back to life on the screen, leaving fans nostalgic and emotional.

Dearly referred to as Appu, Puneeth Rajkumar died on October 29, 2021, at the age of 46 after a sudden cardiac arrest. He left a million people stunned and created a gap in the South Indian film industry.
