In the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) (HAM(S)) candidate Prafull Kumar Manjhi won from the Sikandra (SC) constituency. He was part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition. Manjhi defeated the Indian National Congress (INC) candidate, Sudhir Kumar, by a margin of 5,505 votes. The Sikandra constituency is a seat reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates and is located in the Jamui district of Bihar. Polling for this seat was held in Phase 1 of the Bihar Assembly elections on October 28, 2020, and the results were declared on November 10, 2020.
