AIM AND SCOPE
International Journal of Geomatics and Geosciences is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal published by iPublishing which covers all aspects and information on scientific and technical advances in the geomatic sciences. IJGGS publishes original and innovative contributions in geomatics applications ranging from the integration of instruments, methodologies, and technologies and their use in the environmental sciences, engineering, and other natural sciences. Geomatics is a branch that is applied widely in many other areas, this journal aims to cover the entire vertical of Geomatics/ Geosciences/ Soil engineering including its application domains. Submission of articles to International Journal of Geomatics and Geosciences
Authors are invited to submit their research articles, review papers properly formatted as per the author guidelines to [email protected] mentioning the name of the journal or through the submission form . We insist authors to submit articles only as either pdf or MS word version for initial review process, the article should match our author guidelines. We expecpt high quality research articles that are free from plagiarism and any unethical publication mode, we presently use itheticate (Crosscheck)/ Plagscan to detect plagiarism.
Frequency of publication
IJGGS is published as a quarterly journal with four issues per year ( June-August, September-November, December-February, March-June). Special editions are also planned subjected to the scope and need. Currently IJGGS is also publishing peer reviewed papers of International and national level conferences conducted by various research and academic institutions .
Article processing
All submitted articles will be initially subjected to editorial procedures, if found suitable for publishing will be sent to reviewers for peer review. Authors are also invited to suggest at least three potential reviewers who can review their article. It is not mandatory for the editor to send the articles only to the reviewer referred by authors, it is at discretion of the editor to send articles to any reviewer of his/ her choice. Once the review process is over and the article is accepted, authors will be intimated over mail with the galley proof which the author may reply within 5 days of time, after which the article will be sent for publishing. All articles submitted will be processed within 15 – 20days from the date of submission in most cases.
Ethics in publishing
IJGGS and its editorial board thrive to achieve the publication by ethical means, we are member of COPE ( Committee on Publishing Ethics) and follow the procedures and guidelines of COPE strictly. All articles submitted to IJGGS are screened properly for any plagiarised content through ithenticate software ( Crosscheck) . All issues that arise in publishing will be dealt according to COPE guidelines and we inisist authors submitting articles to IJGGS to follow ethical publishing practices which will not only enhance the quality of their work but also will support the development of science.
Copyright
We are adopting open access publishing policy in which all articles submitted to IJGGS will be published under Creative Commons Attribution Licence (3.0) . Copyright of the pubished articles will be with the concerned authors as per the license, authors will be requested to grant first publishing rights to IJGGS. Under this license published articles can be posted in their personal or their institutions website, can be emailed to their friends and colleagues, also may be printed, freely distributed, archived in any collection, included in a course material, quoted in publications, translated and distributed, provided that the original work is cited.
