Country singer Alexis Wilkins, girlfriend of FBI director Kash Patel, addressed the 19-year age gap between them in a recent interview. Wilkins, 26, said many people in the MAGA world have large age differences in their relationships. She sees no need to justify their age gap.
“I feel like [within] a couple of minutes talking to me, you probably couldn’t picture me dating a 26-year-old,” Wilkins told the Daily Mail. Patel is 45 years old.
Wilkins said their relationship makes sense to them and their friends. She added, “There’s really no need to justify things like that.” She also shared that their relationship is on a positive path.
Future Plans and Public Scrutiny
Regarding engagement or wedding plans, Wilkins said they are still adjusting to their new whirlwind life. Business and other commitments delayed these steps.
Wilkins also revealed she blocked the word “honeypot” from her Instagram comments due to online trolling. She was dragged into the Epstein controversy and accused of being an Israeli agent or a “honeypot.”

The singer denied these claims and said the accusations started when people tried to find any reason to justify the lack of an Epstein-related list.
“I think that it started with people wanting to find and really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find a justification for the fact that they don’t have this [Epstein] list in their hand and they will go find it with pitchforks,” Wilkins said.
How Their Relationship Began
Wilkins shared that she started dating Patel years before he became the FBI director. She met him at a friend’s party in Nashville, which she had not planned to attend initially.
Despite the age difference, Wilkins is confident in their relationship and dismisses the negative speculation.
