1. Processed Meats

Foods like sausage, ham, and bacon are classified as processed meats and contain high sodium levels. These meats are preserved with chemicals to extend their shelf life, which, according to WHO, may heighten the risk of cancers, particularly colorectal cancer.

2. Sugar-Sweetened Beverages

Sugar-laden drinks, including sodas and energy drinks, are dense in calories. Frequent consumption of these beverages can contribute to weight gain and elevate the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes. WHO recommends opting for water or fresh fruit juices instead for better health outcomes.

3. Trans Fats
