Nepal is to observe a national three-day mourning period following landslide, which struck the Kavrepalanchok district and other parts of the country. In the devastating flood and landslide, 192 people lost their lives so far and a long trail of destruction followed this disaster.
The visuals show how brutal the disaster in the village of Kavrepalanchok district has been, with homes swept away and roads destroyed. Rescue operations are in full swing, but the rains that continue to come down have complicated matters, making the job a bit more difficult for the authorities.

The government of Nepal has appealed for a collective response, seeking people’s contributions and supporting the families that have been affected. Relief operations will be increased, and shelter provided for those displaced after the disaster. Officials pledged to do so as the country still reeled in shock.
