A shocking incident has come to light from Amity University’s Lucknow campus, where a student was allegedly slapped and abused multiple times by his classmates inside a parked car.

The incident occurred on August 26 in the university’s parking lot. The victim, identified as Shikhar Mukesh Kesarwani, had arrived in a friend’s vehicle to attend classes when the assault took place.

According to NDTV, an FIR has been filed against five students: Ayush Yadav, Jahnvi Mishra, Milay Banerjee, Vivek Singh, and Aryaman Shukla.

A video of the incident, now viral on social media, shows a female student seated in the front repeatedly slapping Shikhar, who is in the backseat. She can be heard asking him, “Kya bola tha tumne? Character? Character?” and slapping him further. Each time Shikhar tries to shield his face, she orders him to lower his hand.

The victim’s father, Mukesh Kesarwani, lodged a complaint following the assault. He stated that his son, a second-year B.A. LLB student, has been left traumatised and is no longer attending classes.

Kesarwani said his son had recently undergone ligament surgery and was still walking with a stick when he was attacked. “Jahnvi Mishra and Ayush Yadav then slapped my son at least 50 to 60 times and also abused me and my parents. They also threatened to kill us,” he alleged.

The father further claimed that the students confined Shikhar inside the vehicle for about 45 minutes, where they continuously threatened and verbally abused him.
