Actor Vikas Sethi, aged 48, passed away in his sleep on Saturday night in Nashik due to a cardiac arrest. Sethi, renowned for his roles in TV shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahiin To Hoga’, and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, has left the entertainment industry in shock.
His sudden death triggered a significant public response, with Google Trends showing a staggering 1000% increase in searches related to Vikas Sethi, amounting to over 200,000 searches within just 22 hours.
Vikas Sethi’s family revealed that he experienced severe symptoms, including vomiting and diarrhea, before his passing. His family had arranged for a doctor to visit their home in Nashik, as he was hesitant to go to the hospital. “When I tried to wake him up around 6 am the next day, he had already passed away. The doctor confirmed that he died of a cardiac arrest in his sleep,” his family told PTI. His body has been sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.
Aside from his television career, Vikas Sethi appeared in the 2001 film *’Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ as Robbie and was also featured in Dipak Tijori’s film ‘Oops!’. His funeral is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on Monday.
