Alia Bhatt, who has collaborated with Varun Dhawan on several films, recently shared her admiration for his Instagram account. They first appeared together in Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student of the Year, and have since starred in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Kalank. Their on-screen chemistry has been widely praised, from their roles as Shanaya and Rohan in SOTY, to Kavya and Humpty in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Vaidehi and Badrinath in Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Roop and Zafar in Kalank.
During an appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 6, Karan Johar asked Alia which Instagram account she is obsessed with. Initially, Alia mentioned Ahaan Panday’s account but later revealed that Varun Dhawan’s Instagram is her “all-time” favorite. She mimicked Varun’s social media interactions, finding his Instagram stories particularly engaging. Alia described Varun’s posts as entertaining and humorous, noting that he often takes on a “rapper” persona online.
In 2022, Pinkvilla reported that the team behind the Dulhania films is planning a third installment. According to a source, the new film will continue the romantic theme of the previous entries and is highly anticipated by Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and director Shashank Khaitan.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt is currently filming Alpha with Sharvari in Kashmir, a project backed by Yash Raj Films and set to be the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe. She also has Jigra directed by Vasan Bala lined up. Varun Dhawan is busy with three upcoming films: Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Baby John, and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
