Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin claimed on Tuesday that the invitation to the G20 dinner was sent out in the name of the “President of Bharat” against the backdrop of a united opposition bloc and that INDIA will drive the BJP out of power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party is alarmed by the word “India,” the Chief Minister added.

Taking to social media platform, X, Stalin said, “After Non-BJP forces united to dethrone the fascist BJP regime and aptly named their alliance #INDIA, now the BJP wants to change ‘India’ for ‘Bharat.’ BJP promised to TRANSFORM India, but all we got is a name change after 9 years! Seems like the BJP is rattled by a single term called India because they recognise the strength of unity within the opposition.”
“During the elections, ‘India’ will chase BJP out of power!” he added.

Jairam Ramesh, a Rajya Sabha member of the Congress, claimed earlier in the day that Rashtrapati Bhawan had sent out an invitation for a G20 dinner on September 9 in the name of the “President of Bharat” rather than the customary “President of India.” Senior leaders of the opposition’s Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance blasted the Central government for the action, and the BJP received harsh criticism. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, responded to the development by making fun of the federal government, asking if they would rename the country to the Bharatiya Janata Party if the INDIA bloc became Bharat.
