SWADHA, an all-women’s non-profit organization committed to social upliftment and women empowerment, presented a musical play titled ‘Janni’ Directed by Mr. Harvansh Pandit, the play celebrated the valor and wisdom of influential women in Indian history.
The event was attended by distinguished guests. The play brought to life the sacrifice, compassion, and bravery of significant yet often overlooked women in Hindu mythology, such as Kaikeyi and Urmila from the Ramayana, and Queen Padmavati. Through powerful performances, ‘Janni’ aimed to reclaim their rightful place in history.
Ms. Varsha Goel, President of SWADHA, emphasized the organization’s commitment to nurturing dreams at any stage of life, inspired by its senior members who lead by example. Ms. Anju Ahuja, Vice President of SWADHA, highlighted the foundation’s mission to promote best practices and values in the community. She noted that ‘Janni’ was performed by SWADHA members under professional guidance, providing a platform for women to showcase their talents and pursue their dreams.
