Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is gearing up to dominate the box office next week with a strategic move for their horror-comedy franchise, Stree 2. Among the three Hindi films set for release on August 15—Khel Khel Mein, Vedaa, and Stree 2—Vijan’s film is making a notable push to capture audience attention.
To get a competitive edge, Vijan has decided to advance the release of Stree 2 to Wednesday night instead of the originally planned Thursday morning. A source from a major multiplex chain has confirmed, “Stree 2 will now be available twelve hours earlier than the other two films, starting at select theaters across the country after 9 pm on Wednesday.”
The original Stree, released in August 2018, introduced a fresh take on the horror genre with its unique blend of eerie and comedic elements set in the quaint town of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. The film cleverly mixed supernatural themes with humor, creating a memorable and engaging experience.
Now, fans are eager to see if Stree 2 can uphold the high standards of its predecessor, which was noted for its amusing and spooky blend. It’s worth noting that Raj-DK, who wrote Stree, have since parted ways with Vijan’s Maddock Films due to creative differences.
