At least seven people were killed and six others injured in a collision between an auto rickshaw and a truck in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday. The accident occurred around 5:30 am near Kadari on National Highway (NH)-39 (Jhansi-Khajuraho highway) within the jurisdiction of the Civil Line police station. The victims were devotees traveling to Bageshwar Dham.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Agam Jain informed ANI that the auto rickshaw, carrying 13 passengers, collided with a truck on the Jhansi-Khajuraho highway. The injured are currently receiving treatment. Hospital management and district authorities are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that all possible assistance is provided to the injured.
