Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan commended Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, for his courage and ability to handle criticism gracefully. Speaking at the India Today Conclave, Khan said, “I like a brave and honest politician,” in reference to Gandhi’s political demeanor.
When asked to choose a brave leader from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Saif Ali Khan emphasized that all three are courageous politicians who have the potential to lead India into the future.
Khan went on to specifically highlight Rahul Gandhi’s resilience in overcoming past criticism. “I think what Rahul Gandhi has done is also very impressive. There was a point when people were disrespecting things he was saying or things he was doing. I think he has turned that around by working very hard in a very interesting way,” Khan noted.
Following Saif Ali Khan’s remarks, a video of the conversation quickly gained traction on social media. Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed also shared the clip on her X handle, agreeing with Khan’s views. She said, “What he says is absolutely true—Rahul Gandhi Ji has changed people’s views about him through his hard work.”
The comments have sparked widespread discussion, with many applauding Gandhi for his dedication and political evolution.
