Sadhguru Shares Throwback Tribute To Ratan Tata: ‘Man Moves On To Become A Legend’

Ratan Tata, the renowned industrialist and philanthropist, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday in a Mumbai hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. His death has left countless people mourning, with many turning to social media to pay tribute to one of India’s most cherished icons. Among them, spiritual leader Sadhguru shared nostalgic visuals in a recent post on X, honoring Tata’s legacy.

“A man moves on to become a legend,” Sadhguru wrote in the video’s caption. The montage captures moments of Ratan Tata interacting with Sadhguru, highlighting their shared memories.

N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, confirmed Ratan Tata’s passing and expressed his grief in an official statement, calling Tata his “friend, mentor, and guide.”

“It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation,” part of Chandrasekaran’s statement reads.

Tributes from Industry Leaders

Prominent figures from the business world, including Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra, Harsh Goenka, Sudha Murty, and Bill Gates, shared their condolences and memories of Tata on social media.

Harsh Goenka posted, “The clock has stopped ticking” in reaction to the industrialist’s passing, while Anand Mahindra wrote, “I am unable to accept the absence of Ratan Tata.”

Expressing his sorrow, Mukesh Ambani stated, “It is a very sad day for India and India Inc. Ratan Tata’s passing away is a big loss, not just to the Tata Group, but to every Indian.” He also referred to Tata as his “dear friend.”

Bill Gates, sharing a throwback photo with Tata, described him as “a visionary leader whose dedication to improving lives left an indelible mark on India—and the world.” Gates noted, “I had the privilege of meeting him on several occasions, and I was always moved by his strong sense of purpose and service to humanity.”
