In the early hours of Saturday, the Sabarmati Express (Train No. 19168) derailed in a block section between Kanpur and Bhimsen stations in Uttar Pradesh. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries, according to Indian Railways.
To ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, Indian Railways promptly dispatched buses to the site. Additionally, an 8-coach MEMU rake was sent at 5:21 AM to assist with transporting passengers to Kanpur.
Initial reports suggest that the train’s engine may have been struck by a boulder, causing damage to the engine’s cattle guard. The Indian Railways is currently investigating the incident.
