Rajasthan hosts conclave for public sectors to boost investment

In a significant move to boost investment in the state, the Rajasthan government organised a conclave for Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in New Delhi. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed senior officials from over 50 CPSEs, including Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Electronics, and NTPC, highlighting new business opportunities and inviting them to invest in Rajasthan.
The chief minister emphasised the state’s favourable business environment and discussed major initiatives aimed at enhancing investment. He expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for facilitating the elections, paving the way for a more conducive atmosphere for development.
Addressing the officers of Central Public Sector Enterprises, Industry and Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said, “The Central Public Sector Enterprises participating in this Conclave are playing a vital role in furthering the State Government’s goal of doubling Rajasthan’s economy to $ 350 billion in the next five years.
Rajnish Narang, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum, commended the state government’s support for business initiatives, particularly the Barmer Refinery project, which exemplifies effective collaboration. Narang noted the prompt land allotment for current and future needs of the refinery.
Manoj Jain, Chairman of Bharat Electronics, highlighted Rajasthan’s potential in defence manufacturing, announcing plans to establish a Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence and software development in the state. This initiative aims to cater to various industries, enhancing the state’s industrial landscape.
Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of CONCOR, discussed the importance of expanding sustainable transport options like LNG. He praised the Rajasthan government’s efforts in facilitating ease of doing business, addressing infrastructure challenges in the logistics sector.
Thanking the officers of Central Public Sector Enterprises for participating in the CPSE Conclave, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma informed about the fiscal incentives being given by the state government and the steps taken to improve ease of doing business.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “Rajasthan has immense potential in sectors like renewable energy, defence manufacturing, petrochemicals and tourism. We have no shortage of land, immense potential in the field of renewable energy, abundant mineral reserves and skilled workforce. Through these, we can ensure shared prosperity for both, the State and Central Public Sector Enterprises. Together, we can realise the goal of ‘Developed India’ and ‘Developed Rajasthan’.”
