Firing a salvo on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur said, the absence of Rahul Gandhi from poll-bound states is “bizarre”.
“It’s bizarre to see Rahul Gandhi nowhere in the poll-bound states! They know they are going to lose so they will put the blame on the new party president and not the first family,” Union minister Thakur said.
Meanwhile, ahead of assembly elections in Gujarat Union Minister Thakur also praised the ruling BJP-ruled Gujarat government and said in Gujarat BJP will win with a big majority.
Moreover, taking a dig at the Congress Thakur further said, “Congress footprint is shrinking and that’s why they’re not to be seen anywhere. We want to know if Rahul Gandhi is missing from the poll-bound state is Ranneeti (strategy) or the new Rajneeti.”
Earlier on Friday Union Minister Anurag Thakur slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said with ‘tukde tukde gang’ the Congress leader is doing Bharat Jodo Yatra.
“Rahul Gandhi doing Bharat Jodo Yatra with ‘tukde tukde gang’. He spoke about Hindu terror, stood with people who tried to divide India in JNU, and now he’s raising questions on Veer Savarkar. It’s Congres’ mentality, they don’t see anything beyond one family,” Anurag Thakur said.
Anurag Thakur also criticized ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and said, “Who participated in the yatra with Rahul Gandhi from day one? Those who think of dividing the country. Those who used to raise slogans to divide the country… Will these people who want to erase the name of the country, join the Bharat Jodo Yatra?”
However, Thakur also lashed Congress for insulting Sardar Patel and Dr. BR Ambedkar and said the people of Gujarat will not accept those who insult Veer Savarkar.
“Under Congress rule, they talked of Hindu terrorism. In 70 years Congress made the country forget about Sardar Patel and Dr. BR Ambedkar was not recognized but insulted by Congress. People of Gujarat won’t accept those who insult Veer Savarkar, a party that walks with the ‘tukde-tukde’ gang,” Thakur said.
Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday lashed Veer Savarkar for betraying leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel by signing an apology letter to the British.
