After celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at their Mumbai residence, Antilia, the Ambani family organized a grand procession on the night of September 8 to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha. Nita Ambani, chairperson of Reliance Foundation, led the procession as they carried the Ganpati idol to the immersion site at Chowpatty Beach. She was joined by her younger son, Anant Ambani, and his wife, Radhika Merchant.
Anant and Radhika, who were married on July 12 after a series of opulent pre-wedding celebrations, had a star-studded wedding in Mumbai, attended by Bollywood celebrities, international figures like Kim Kardashian, business leaders, and global dignitaries.
During the lively Ganpati procession, the couple shared a tender moment, with Radhika being filmed kissing Anant on the forehead. Radhika wore a blue kurta set, while Anant sported a traditional orange outfit.
Nita Ambani, along with Anant and Radhika, was seen on a beautifully decorated truck as the family made their way from Antilia to Chowpatty for the immersion. They were accompanied by Nita’s mother, Purnima Dalal, and her sister, Mamta Dalal. Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, also joined the family on the truck.
As the procession progressed, Nita Ambani was seen showering flowers on the large crowd that had gathered to catch a glimpse of the celebration. Radhika Merchant distributed prasad to the procession members from the truck.
Mukesh Ambani was later seen at Chowpatty Beach under heavy security during the visarjan. This immersion came just a day after the family hosted a lavish Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Antilia.
