The Odisha Chief Electoral Officer announced that the voter turnout for Phase 4 of the Odisha State Assembly Elections, excluding postal ballots, has reached 74.41 percent.

Voting in Odisha concluded on June 1, coinciding with the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The assembly polls in Odisha were held simultaneously with the General Elections.

Exit polls on Saturday indicated that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is anticipated to double its seat count in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP is striving to make inroads into the stronghold of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

According to the Republic PMarq Exit Poll for the 21 Lok Sabha seats, the NDA is projected to win 14 seats, leaving the BJD with 8. The Republic PMarq exit poll also predicted 359 seats for the NDA alliance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The News18 Mega Exit Poll forecasted that the BJP-led NDA might secure 13-15 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, while the BJD might retain 6-8 seats. The India Today-Axis My India exit poll projected that the BJP could win 18-20 seats in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, whereas the BJD might only secure 0-2 seats. In terms of vote share, the BJP is expected to receive 51 percent of the votes, the BJD 33 percent, and the Congress 13 percent.

Odisha, with a total of 21 constituencies, went to polls across four phases: the first phase on May 13, followed by phases on May 20, May 25, and June 1.
