In reaction to the Opposition’s no-confidence petition against the NDA administration, Prime Minister Narendra Mo’s government is facing a no-confidence vote for the second time in 9 years. On Tuesday, the Lok Sabha began the no-confidence vote.

On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who returned to Parliament after nearly four months away, took part in the debate. Since the start of the Monsoon Session on July 20, the Parliament has been stalled on a variety of matters, including the violence in Manipur.

During the debate, the Congress leader referred to his visit to Manipur and meetings with victims of violence in the state, claiming that ‘Bharat’ is the voice of the people of the country and that “voice was killed in Manipur.”

“I want to say this with absolute seriousness that the Congress is the mother of all issues of Northeast. People of Northeast are not responsible for it, it is their (Congress’) politics,” says PM Modi during no-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha.
