Messi came close in the 21st minute, but Atlanta’s keeper denied him. He finally broke through in the 39th minute, receiving a pass from Rodriguez before curling the ball into the upper left corner.

This was the 25th goal this season for Messi, widening his margin in the Golden Boot chart, as Rodriguez picked up his third assist. Suarez came close to scoring a second in added time, but his volley on the crossbar.
Alba Chips In, Suarez Adds the Power
The second of those arrived in the 52nd minute when Jordi Alba wonderfully chipped the keeper after a pinpoint long ball from Messi. Alba has now scored six league goals, while Messi earned his 18th assist.
Luis Suarez increased the lead to 3-0 in the 61st minute, firing home a first-time shot from the outside of the box into the top right corner. This was Suarez’s 10th goal of the season, firmly in charge for Inter Miami.
Messi Caps a Magical Evening
Messi wrapped up the 4-0 destruction in the 87th minute, scoring his 26th goal of the season after a pass from Alba, who secured his 14th assist in the MLS season.
The victory ensured all three points for Inter Miami and ensured home-field advantage in Round One of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs.
Inter Miami will complete their regular season on the road Saturday against Nashville SC. Fans will be anxiously waiting to see if Messi can continue this marvelous form into the playoffs.
