A major outage hit X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, leaving users across the world unable to access the platform. People reported that the app and website either failed to load or showed error messages, causing frustration among millions who rely on the service for updates and communication.
By 5:20 PM, the outage tracking platform Downdetector recorded more than 10,000 reports from users facing problems. Most complaints came from people using the mobile app, while others struggled with the website and server-related issues. This clearly showed that the disruption affected users globally, not just in India.
According to Downdetector data, 61% of users reported problems with the X mobile app, 28% had trouble accessing the website, and 11% cited server connection errors. The sudden outage also sparked discussions on other social platforms as users looked for answers.
X has not issued any official statement yet, and the cause of the disruption remains unknown. Many users continue to refresh the platform in hopes that the service will return to normal soon.
