Mumbai Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, in connection with a death threat directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The message, which warned that Adityanath would be killed “like Baba Siddique” if he did not resign within 10 days, was traced back to Khan’s phone number.

Khan, who is reportedly well-educated and holds a BSc in Information Technology, has been experiencing mental health issues. She lives in Thane near Mumbai with her family; her father works in the timber industry.

The threat was received by the Mumbai Traffic Police control room via a WhatsApp helpline from an unknown number. This incident follows a series of death threats that have targeted various individuals in Mumbai, most notably Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Recently, threats against Khan included demands for ransom, leading to the arrest of individuals involved, such as a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida.

The recent message also mentioned Zeeshan Siddique, the son of former Bandra MLA Baba Siddique, who was shot dead near his office on October 12. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique’s murder. This gang has been linked to previous threats against Salman Khan, notably related to the actor’s involvement in the blackbuck hunting case during the filming of *Hum Saath Saath Hain*. In light of these incidents, Khan’s security has been increased.
