The rapid exit of a Delhi-Meerut RRTS train, now caught on video, of passengers treading onto the roof is drawing ire on social networks. The video, possibly recorded at Dadar station, shows commuters in an unsafe manner, hopping off the usual platform exit, and instead, squeezing through a very narrow area.
The footage features a bunch of shattered people jumping off the footplate and holding onto the station’s fence. This ambitious ridiculousness was a stunt pulled to evade the U-turn and this faster way would throw them for a shorter walk, thus ending the usual route. The main skill these boys use is passing through bars meant to stop anyone from accessing a small, dangerous area located just by the footbridge (FOB) stairs.

Though the train was stopped at the station, the said passengers did crawl through a certain narrow space between the railings which might have been a potential source of accidents. Despite their swiftness, the facts remain that the individuals revealed a shocking lack of caution by struggling to get out in just a few seconds when the train was at a standstill.
The Instagram account that is devoted to showing views of Mumbai’s local train services posted a video exhibiting the apathetic attitude of the people regarding their safety at the expense of comfort. Although manifestly the risk is there, the inward route was resorted to by nearly half a dozen pedestrians to leave the train. This replacement of “jugaad” or coming up with a quickie solution Seems to have come up with the people because they cannot move a single step at the overcrowded station or cut the long walks.
Together with the video, in the post, the account deplored the hazardous exploiting of a scooter, by making the statement, “Don’t play with your life. Your peace of mind is the main thing. You should take a risk, but not with your life.” The video became viral from that point on, obtaining the severe comments of the users on the careless passengers who have done a stunt of dangerous driving.
This incident has come as a severe warning to the public against the carelessness towards safety measures, particularly in the crowded and dense areas like the Mumbai local railway stations. Though it might feel like a shortcut, such conduct definitely endangers not only the people involved but also the line’s passengers. There is a strong demand for more rigid rules to guarantee safer conditions in the workplaces, Authorities are urged to focus on stricter enforcement of safety regulations to avoid further dangerous incidents in the future.
While swirling around the web, the video has triggered a debate about the inadequacy of implemented safety measures at the stations and the public’s role in keeping in line with the guidelines.
