‘Mid-Haircut Hero’ Rescues Officer from Attacker in Warrington: Watch

A man in the UK gained viral fame after rushing to help a police officer under attack while getting a haircut. Kyle Whiting, 32, was at Haron Barbers in Warrington, Cheshire, when he saw the altercation unfold outside. Without hesitation, he left the barbershop, still wearing the cape, and ran across the street to intervene.

Quick Action to Assist the Officer

Whiting didn’t waste any time. He grabbed the attacker from behind and pulled him away from the officer. He held onto the thug while bystanders gathered to assist. Shortly after, another officer arrived on foot, and a second police car pulled up, allowing the police to arrest the attacker.

A Coincidental Encounter

Whiting was at the barbershop by chance. He had taken his girlfriend to Warrington Hospital’s A&E unit when the incident occurred. He said, “I thought, ‘I’m not sitting back and watching this.’ If that was my sister, I would hope somebody would help her.”

Viral Video and Social Media Praise

The video of Whiting’s heroic act quickly went viral. Social media users were quick to commend him for his bravery. Some even referred to him as the “caped crusader” or “haircut hero.” One user wrote, “Not enough people like you around!” Another added, “Cape and all, what a legend.”

Cheshire Police Express Gratitude

Cheshire Constabulary later issued a statement, thanking Whiting for his support. The police confirmed that, due to Whiting’s actions, a 50-year-old man was arrested and taken to health professionals for care.
