Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray officially filed his nomination for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections from the Worli constituency on Thursday. Ahead of submitting his papers, Thackeray led a roadshow and offered prayers at a local temple, where he expressed his determination to address key issues like unemployment and the alleged exploitation of Maharashtra’s resources.

Speaking to reporters, Thackeray shared his confidence about winning the Worli seat once again. “I am confident that people will bless me. We are on track to form the next government in Maharashtra. You can see the love and support from the people,” he said.

Focus on Unemployment and Criticism of Maharashtra Government

Outlining his priorities, Thackeray emphasized his goal to tackle unemployment and halt what he described as the “loot of Maharashtra.” He criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the BJP, accusing them of mismanaging the state’s resources. “What is important is to defeat Eknath Shinde and the BJP, who have looted Maharashtra,” he added.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders, including Arvind Sawant, also voiced their support for Thackeray. Sawant highlighted Thackeray’s contributions during his tenure, stating, “Aditya Thackeray’s work is remembered by everyone, not just in Maharashtra but across the country. He will win this seat again.”

The Shiv Sena (UBT) faction recently unveiled its first list of 65 candidates for the assembly elections. Among the prominent names is Kedhar Dighe, nephew of the late Anand Dighe, who will contest against CM Eknath Shinde in the Kopri-Panchpakhadi constituency. Other key candidates include Sunil Raut from Vikhroli, Rajan Vichare from Thane, Dipesh Mhatre from Dombivli, and Vaishali Sooryavanshi from Pachora.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are shaping up to be a fierce contest, with Thackeray’s nomination adding to the high-stakes political drama.
