On 25 August, fear erupted in the border district of Jaisalmer after a live anti-personnel mine was discovered near the India-Pakistan border.
The live mine was spotted by a shepherd, near the Kerla village in the border area. The shepherd informed the villagers, who, in turn, alerted the Border Security Force (BSF) about the discovery of the anti-personnel mine. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Border Security Force promptly reached the location and began examining the live mine. BSF officers have informed the local police in the Jhinjhinyali area about the situation.
