Anmol Bishnoi, the younger sibling of infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been arrested in the United States, sources told to NDTV on Monday. Bishnoi is wanted in connection with several high-profile crimes, including the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, last month’s killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, and the shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence in June.

Bishnoi, 50, was apprehended earlier today. Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch had initiated extradition procedures to bring him back to India, and a special court in Maharashtra issued a non-bailable arrest warrant. Additionally, Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice for his arrest.

Originally from Punjab’s Fazilka, Bishnoi had reportedly fled India for Canada using a fake passport. He is also facing charges filed by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has included him on its most-wanted list and offered a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to his capture.
