Joe Biden’s Latest Gaffe: Refers Himself As First Black Woman President

In a recent incident, Joe Biden mistakenly claimed during a radio interview on Independence Day that he was proud to be the first “black woman to serve with a black president.” This statement adds to a series of verbal blunders by the US President, who continues to face intense scrutiny following a widely criticized performance in a recent presidential debate. During his interview with Philadelphia’s WURD radio station, Biden confused his own vice presidency with that of Kamala Harris, stating, “By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice-president, first black woman… to serve with a black president.”

Biden’s comments appear to have been a mix-up between Harris, who became the first black vice president in 2020, and Barack Obama, who served as the first black US president starting in 2008.

The president’s troubles continued in another radio interview on The Earl Ingram Show aimed at black listeners in Wisconsin, where he commented on a recent Supreme Court decision related to presidential immunity, saying, “You need someone, someone who is going to make sure that – the Supreme Court just issued a decision, by the way, that threatens the American principle that we have no kings in America. There’s no one above the law.”

During Fourth of July celebrations, Biden also referred to Donald Trump as his colleague and made unclear statements about road congestion.

Following the contentious debate and his problematic radio appearances, Biden is scheduled for a TV interview with ABC News airing on Friday at 8pm ET. While supporters of Biden attribute his verbal slip-ups to a long history of mixing words, his performance during the recent debate raised concerns about his clarity. Biden reportedly disclosed to Democrat governors that he underwent a medical evaluation following the debate and assured them of his good health.
