In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and brutally gang-raped by four assailants in Lucknow. The police have confirmed the arrest of two suspects, with a manhunt underway for the remaining culprits.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) East, Ashish Srivastava, the perpetrators abducted the minor girl and took her approximately one kilometre away to a forest. There, they subjected her to a harrowing ordeal, taking turns to commit the heinous crime. The traumatised victim was later discovered in an unconscious state, not far from her home.
The victim’s mother filed a First Information Report (FIR) against three of the accused following the event. Surprisingly, the mother also claimed that one of the attackers was urging her to arrange a marriage between him and her daughter.
“We have also recorded the statement of the minor, who said she was kidnapped and gang-raped by four people,” stated the deputy commissioner of police.
Based on the mother’s allegation, a case was filed, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Efforts are being made to find and catch the remaining two suspects in this heinous act.
