The Parbatsar police have arrested Surajmal Sharma, the manager of HDFC Bank, in a case involving the fraudulent approval of loans. According to Sub-Inspector Nand Lal Rinwa, on June 19, 2017, Motiram Jat, a resident of Huldhani, filed a complaint at the Parbatsar police station, alleging that his brother, Moolaram, along with his wife Chukli Devi, nephew Rajuram, and Ramnivas, took wrongful advantage of their father Jaggu Ram’s old age.
In 2014, during a land dispute, Moolaram allegedly registered 13 bighas of land in the name of his wife, Chukli Devi, without Jaggu Ram’s consent. Subsequently, Moolaram, with the help of HDFC Bank manager Surajmal Sharma from the Kishangarh branch, fraudulently sanctioned a loan of Rs 8.5 lakhs against the remaining 26 bighas of land. The suspect, Surajmal Sharma, who held a respectable position as the head of the agricultural loan branch of HDFC Bank, was found responsible for the fraudulent approval of loans against ancestral land without the consent of the rightful owners. The police have started an investigation into the matter, and charges have been filed against the accused parties. The investigating police team includes Sub-Inspector Nand Lal Rinwa and Constable Om Prakash.
