An Indian YouTuber’s reaction to a Chinese woman’s criticism of Indian cuisine has captured the hearts of many online. In a now-viral video, Indian vlogger Passenger Paramvir engages in a conversation with a Chinese woman about the food preferences of their respective countries.

“I told her that Chinese food is not good but Indian food is amazing. So, she told me to wait while she shows me what Indian food looks like,” Paramvir explains in the video while seated next to the woman.

Street Food Videos Question Hygiene

The woman proceeds to show Paramvir several street food cooking clips on her phone, featuring questionable hygiene practices. Among the videos are scenes of a man making dough balls with his armpits and another showing a person washing their hands directly over a cooking pan.

As she scrolls, they both watch another video where a man grinds tomatoes with his feet and a woman is served dal in her hands. While Paramvir chuckles at the clips, the woman questions what these individuals are doing.

“Isne toh meri bolti band krdi,” he jokes, but adds, “Trust me, you won’t find any of this on the street. I don’t know where they get these clips from or where they find these people. It’s very uncommon; I have never seen that happen with my own eyes.” He assures her, “If you go to a good hygienic place, you will love the food.”

Perspective Changed To “Yummy”

To shift her perspective, Paramvir takes the woman to a local Indian restaurant. They enjoy a meal of dal makhni, shahi paneer, and naan together. As the video concludes, she is seen relishing her food, exclaiming, “Yummy.”

The video, which has nearly 1 million views on X, has been met with praise for Paramvir’s positive and light-hearted approach to the woman’s negativity.

One viewer commented, “If they took bad, give them good. He changed her whole perspective towards India.” Another user remarked, “India definitely needs better PR! It’s unfortunate that some people judge the entire cuisine based on a few videos. Glad the YouTuber took the initiative to introduce her to authentic Indian food.”
