The Haryana Directorate of School Education has revised school timings for the 2024-25 academic year, affecting both single-shift and double-shift schools across the state. The updated schedule, announced by the Chief Minister on X, provides different hours for summer and winter to better accommodate students and staff.
For single-shift schools, the new summer timings (from February 16 to November 14) are set from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, while winter timings (from November 15 to February 15) will be from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. In double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM in summer and from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM in winter.
The second shift in double-shift schools will operate from 12:45 PM to 6:15 PM during the summer season (February 16 to October 14) and from 12:40 PM to 5:15 PM in the winter season (October 15 to February 15).
For the 2024-25 winter session, double-shift schools will temporarily follow a schedule starting November 12, with the second shift running from 12:40 PM to 5:15 PM. This timing adjustment will become permanent in the 2025-26 session, with seasonal winter adjustments from October 15 to February 15 every year.
