Most importantly, there is no application fee for these vacancies.
Overall, the 5,600 openings are divided between three positions.
1. Male Constable (General Duty):4,000 openings
2. Female Constable (General Duty):600 openings
3. Male Constable (India Reserve Battalions): 1,000 openings
The candidate must have passed Class 12 with a passing certificate of 10+2 from any recognized board. It is mandatory for candidates to have Hindi or Sanskrit subjects in Class 10. Additional marks shall not be given to the candidates for higher education.
Candidates must be in between 18 and 25 years of age as of September 1, 2024. Age relaxation in the case of reserved categories is as per government rules.
The recruitment process comprises the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST), and Knowledge Test. Performance in the CET will be viewed for short-listing candidates for the PMT and PST by the commission. About 22,400 candidates will be called for a Knowledge Test carrying 94.5% of the total score, and the questions will be of objective type.
In the General category, 50% marks are required, and for reserved categories, selection of candidates would be made on the basis of 40%.
