In Jaipur, the State Congress Campaign Committee meeting was held on Monday, chaired by Committee Chairman Govind Ram Meghwal. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra, Dr. C.P. Joshi, Vaibhav Gehlot, Rajkumar Sharma, Yashveer Sura, along with committee members and invited members.
During the meeting, it was decided that a campaign would be launched at the district, constituency, and block levels to reach the Congress government’s plans for every household. Additionally, a five-day tour would be conducted in 13 districts after September 24th regarding the ERCP issue. After the meeting, Chairman Govind Ram Meghwal and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra informed the media that the committee had a meaningful meeting. They said that it was decided that Congress would go to the districts to ensure their government’s schemes reach every individual. They would also engage in dialogues with the beneficiaries of these plans and strengthen the organization.
A large number of people gathered to listen to Priyanka Gandhi in Tonk. It was emphasized in the meeting that the Congress works while others only talk. They said that the people want action, which is why the Congress government will be re-elected.
Regarding the ERCP issue, Govind Singh Dotasra stated that the Modi government has not fulfilled its promise on the ERCP scheme, and it has adversely affected the interests of the public in 13 districts. It was decided in the meeting that after September 24th, a five-day tour would be organized in the 13 districts with ERCP issues. Discussions are ongoing with local Congress leaders in all districts and constituencies to create a roadmap for this. Through this tour, they aim to expose the BJP’s wrongdoing, asserting that the canal is their right, and they will inaugurate its construction since they have provided the necessary funds.
Dotasra also remarked that the BJP’s tours have become a drama. It is heard that even their rallies do not have a significant turnout, so central leadership has had to offer incentives to some leaders. Their situation is such that not even two people are coming behind those who are seeking tickets.
Regarding Jyoti Mirdha’s joining the sinking ship, Govind Ram Meghwal commented that Mirdha has boarded a sinking ship. On the question of bureaucrats joining the BJP, Dotasra said that officers who may fear actions by the ED or Income Tax department either before or after retirement are joining the BJP. Someone may have misled them that the government can change, so they have taken this step. They don’t want to contest elections; they just want to avoid actions by investigative agencies.
Govind Ram Meghwal also mentioned Arjun Ram Meghwal, a Union Minister, saying that he is also a retired officer, and lacks knowledge about various matters. When COVID-19 came, he was standing with “Bhabhi Ji Ke Papad,” and now he talks about the end of democracy.
In conclusion, Govind Ram Meghwal said that everyone knows the situation of those joining the BJP. He likened Advani’s condition to that of a widow aunt. In the BJP, the RSS wields the stick.
