Actor Faissal Khan, the younger brother of Bollywood star Aamir Khan, has made explosive claims against his family. In a recent interview, he alleged that the Taare Zameen Par actor confined him in Mumbai for a year. According to him, his family spread the belief that he was suffering from schizophrenia, branding him as “a mad person and can harm society.”
Reveals Seeking Help from Shah Rukh Khan
During his interaction with Pinkvilla, Faissal also shared that he once tried reaching out to Shah Rukh Khan for support. “I tried to call Shah Rukh Khan also. He didn’t entertain me. Mannat ke bahar gaya tha main,” he revealed, referring to visiting the superstar’s residence.
Family Issues Statement Denying Allegations
Responding to these accusations, Aamir Khan’s family expressed disappointment. In a statement, they said:
“We are distressed by Faissal’s hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and his brother Aamir. As this is not the first time he has misrepresented these events, we feel it necessary to clarify our intentions, and reaffirm our solidarity as a family.”
Faissal Khan Cuts All Ties with Family
In a dramatic move, Faissal Khan released a note announcing that he has formally ended all connections with his family. The statement read:
“I, Faissal Khan, have from the date hereof severed all ties, familial as well as in estate, with my family members, the names whereof are more particularly described in the Schedule hereunder written. All persons are required to take note that on and from the date hereof I shall not be known as forming part of the family of my late father Tahir Husain or my mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, and/or any other family member.”
He further clarified that he would no longer claim inheritance rights or accept any responsibilities linked to his parents’ estate.
Declares Independence from Aamir Khan
Faissal added in the same note that he has chosen not to live in Aamir Khan’s residence and will not accept any financial assistance from his elder brother. “I will from the date hereof not reside in the residence of my brother Aamir Khan, and I will also not claim any monthly allowance/ maintenance from my brother Aamir Khan. All persons are required to take note that my decision to sever all ties with my family members has been arrived at after very carefully I consideration on my part and in view of the unfortunate past events as under,” he wrote.
His Side of the Story
Speaking about his emotional struggle, Faissal claimed that his family labeled him mentally unstable. He said:
“They were saying I’ve got schizophrenia and I’m a mad person. I can harm society. Ye sab baatein ho rahi thi (All this was being talked about). I was looking at myself ki yaar main iss chakravyuh se kaise niklu. Chakravyuh ho gaya tha mere liye. Main usme fass gaya tha kyunki saari family mere khilaaf jaa rahi thi. Mujhe pagal samjh rahe the (How do I get out of this trap? It was a trap for me. I was stuck in it because my family was against me. They were thinking I’m mad).”
