The kingdom of Mahishmati is back on screen, and so is the hysteria. On Tuesday, the makers of Baahubali: The Epic dropped its much-anticipated teaser on Instagram, and within minutes, it turned into a storm across social media.

The teaser brings together the grandeur of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), merging them into one colossal cinematic experience. Fans got chills from the trailer, which featured Prabhas in the key roles of Mahendra and Amarendra Baahubali, Rana Daggubati reprising Bhallaladeva, Anushka Shetty as Devasena, Tamannaah as Avantika, Sathyaraj as Kattappa, and Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami.

The clip opens with the iconic text:

“10 years ago, a story redefined Indian cinema. Two films. One name.”
After then, it delves into intense montages that depict Kattappa’s pivotal treachery, Sivagami’s enduring presence, and Baahubali’s epic battle with Bhallaladeva. The teaser closes with the legendary shot of Baahubali rising from water, perfectly setting the stage for its theatrical return.

Fans Predict Another ₹1000 Crore Run

Comments on the teaser have already become a digital frenzy. From “Jai Mahishmati” to “Phir se 1000 cr ki kamai,” fans are confident the film will repeat its box office domination. One user wrote, “Another lesson for the industry… same movie for 1000c,” while another added, “Make it again 1000cr for masterpiece.”

The nostalgia, combined with Rajamouli’s mastery, is fueling the belief that Baahubali: The Epic might once again breach the ₹1000 crore benchmark.

Box Office Legacy

The first Baahubali changed the course of Indian cinema with its storytelling and visual grandeur, grossing over ₹650 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, went on to smash records with a staggering ₹1788.06 crore global collection, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.

With Baahubali: The Epic, Rajamouli isn’t introducing a new story, but the repackaging of both films into a single cinematic journey promises to take audiences back to the throne of Mahishmati like never before.

Mark your calendars—Baahubali: The Epic hits cinemas worldwide on October 31, 2025.
