Fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi is basking in global attention following her stunning debut at the Cannes red carpet. Her remarkable DIY ensemble at the 77th Cannes Film Festival has earned accolades across the fashion world. Notably, actor Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s endorsement has left Nancy feeling deeply honoured.
Expressing her gratitude, Nancy remarked, “Sonam Kapoor is such a big celebrity, and for her to feature my work on her Instagram Story, it’s a tremendous honor for me. I am at a loss for words. Sonam appreciated my saree outfit, so I am eager to create another unique saree for her, perhaps with a grander pallu. I am overwhelmed by everything that’s happening; it’s truly surreal. Her sister Rhea also showed support on my post, and I would be thrilled to meet them both someday to design an outfit for them.”
Nancy unveiled her second Cannes outfit, equally impressive as the first. This time, she opted for a self-made saree, showcasing her creativity and craftsmanship. Through a video shared on social media, Nancy revealed her process of sourcing fabric from a local market, selecting a lavender-colored material adorned with beads. She then meticulously sewed the fabric to craft a stunning saree, complemented by a matching headpiece.
Reflecting on her journey, Nancy shared insights into her creative process, emphasizing her childhood passion for stitching doll clothes. Regarding her social media content, she credited her brother for assisting in shooting and editing videos, while she focused on her craft. Looking ahead, Nancy expressed her determination to continue creating innovative outfits, embracing whatever opportunities the future holds.
