South American country Peru was hit with an earthquake of 7.2 Magnitude at central coast on Friday, announced the United States Geological Survey.
As per USGS, the tremor were felt from 8.8 kilometers (5.5 miles) from Atiquipa district. Later, it resulted in the increase of magnitude rating, following earthquake.

Furthermore, the strong shake was felt in areas near the epicenter. Earlier, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre, had earlier announced, that tsunami threat has been issued for some coasts.
But they passed the warning saying, ‘There is no longer a tsunami threat from this earthquake.’
Every year, Peru faces dozens of earthquakes or tremors, as this country is located in Pacific ring of fire, which records a huge seismic activity along the west coast of Americas.
