The North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti, one of Mumbai’s oldest pujos, hosted Ashtami celebrations that proved to be a treat for Rani Mukerji’s followers.
Rani can be seen beautifully executing the traditional Dhunuchi dance in front of the idol of Goddess Durga in a number of online videos. Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol’s sister, and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant can also be seen performing the customary prayer dance.
Rani was stunning in a subdued gold saree.
Since a few days ago, a number of Bollywood celebs have been taking part in the North Bombay Durga Puja celebrations. Along with her son, Kajol left a mark. At the Durga Puja pandal, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan joined in on the Ashtami celebrations. She and Kajol posed together for pictures, leaving ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum’ fans a bit nostalgic.
While Kajol opted for a green saree, Jaya Bachchan was seen exuding grace in a mustard saree.
The celebrations for Dugra Puja, which began on October 20, will end on October 24 this year. The celebration, which honors Maa Durga and welcomes her, is dedicated to her and is seen as highly fortunate. Additionally, it heralds the start of the holiday season, which is marked by a number of customs. The celebration represents the victory of good over evil, the triumph of light over darkness, and the ability of the divine to defend the planet.
Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee on Sunday offered prayers at Hazra Park Durgotsab Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata on the occasion of ‘Maha Ashtami’, the eighth day of Navratri.
Prosenjit wore a white kurta. He accessorised his look with black sunglasses.
The eighth day of the Navratri festival is dedicated to the eighth form of Maa Durga – Maa Mahagauri, a symbol of purity, serenity, and tranquillity.
