Diljit Dosanjh is winning over fans globally, and his Dil-Luminati tour has been a testament to his popularity. Recently, he performed in Delhi, where he continued his unique tradition of gifting jackets to fans. This time, he surprised a female fan by handing over his jacket, creating a memorable moment that quickly went viral on social media.
Western influencer Andrew Tate, known for his controversial and divisive remarks, attempted to taint the moment with a racial slur, commenting, “bet it smells like curry.” Tate’s insensitive remark drew immediate backlash online, with fans and celebrities alike calling him out.
Diljit Dosanjh didn’t directly address Tate’s comment but responded in his own way. On Diwali, he posted a cooking video of himself making “Kadai Paneer,” a classic Indian curry dish, with humorous voiceover commentary. While he never mentioned Tate’s name, the video spoke volumes and cleverly highlighted his pride in his culture.
Singer Adnan Sami took to social media in support of Diljit, targeting Tate’s criminal background. Sami’s fiery comment read:
“WRONG… IT SMELLED OF ‘LOVE’ & THE BEST PART WAS THAT NONE OF THE AUDIENCE MEMBERS WERE ‘RA–STS’ NOR ‘CHILD TRAFFICKERS’ LIKE WHAT YOU’RE ACCUSED OF & ARRESTED FOR, WHICH SURELY SMELLS OF SHIT!! So STFU!”
Adnan’s statement received widespread support, reminding fans that pride in one’s culture is stronger than any insult.
For those unfamiliar, Andrew Tate is a social media influencer who has been embroiled in multiple controversies, including allegations of sexual misconduct and human trafficking. He was recently released from house arrest but remains under strict surveillance due to the serious nature of the charges against him.
