New Delhi, Dec 5: Even as BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, labeling him a “traitor of the highest order” and having links with the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), the Congress hit back slamming the government saying whenever the grand old party raises the issue of Adani Group the saffron party leaders targets the Gandhi scion and the party will not back down
Speaking to the ITV Network, Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “When we raise the issues of providing ports, airports, solar project scam, Hindenburg research report and others then the BJP leaders start getting goosebumps. When we take the name of Adani, then BJP leaders gets restless and same example was visible today as Nishikant Dubey showed it in Parliament.”
We will keep on raising the issue for country’s prosperity and to safeguard it’s interest and for that no matter how much abuse they throw at us, Khera added.
Dubey, a BJP Lok Sabha Mzp from Jharkhand’s Godda accused the Congress leader of having links with the OCCRP and Soros. This accusation triggered a sharp reaction from Congress MPs, leading to the adjournment of the Lok Sabha.
The Congress MPs demanded for apology from Dubey for his comments on Rahul Gandhi.
Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi targeted Dubey and took to X and wrote, “Adani group has sleeper cells inside the BJP. Whenever Rahul Gandhi raises the Modi-Adani nexus, these sleeper cells are activated. They try to defame Rahul Gandhi. But PM Modi, Adani and the sleeper cells cannot make Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party back down.”
Even Congress general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal took to X and said, “Agents of Adani have been given only one task – to defame and abuse those who expose their mega corruption.”
“We do not tolerate the objectionable words used against LOP Rahul Gandhi ji, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi ji and the Congress party by Adani Agent Nishikant Dubey on the floor of the house,” Venugopal wrote hitting back at the BJP.
Earlier in the day, while addressing media BJP MP Sambit Patra dubbed Rahul Gandhi as “traitor of highest order”.
Later, Dubey while speaking in the Lok Sabha targeted Gandhis and alleged them of colluding with OCCRP and Soros.
Dubey claimed that Rahul Gandhi frequently shares OCCRP reports on social media.
According to Dubey, Soros funds OCCRP, and this money is allegedly used to disrupt parliamentary proceedings. Dubey cited references from Sanjaya Baru’s book The Accidental Prime Minister, which mentions a meeting between former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and George Soros, questioning whether such claims are false.
