CM Bhajan Lal Sharma calls for increased recruitments ahead of Rojgar Utsav

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a meeting of officials on Monday in the Chief Minister’s Office regarding the preparations for the upcoming Rojgar Utsav. On this occasion, he asked to make as many recruitments as possible. He directed the departments to send the requisitions regarding the recruitments as of March 2025. That is, requisitions should be sent for all the posts that will be vacant by March next year. Additionally, officials have been warned that responsibility will be assigned to the relevant department officer in cases of negligence in this matter. On this occasion, the state government is working to provide a total of 10 lakh jobs in five years, including six lakhs in the private sector and 4 lakhs in the government sector. The third CM Employment Festival to be held in the month of December will play an important role in fulfilling the dream of employment of the youth and will prove to be an important step towards ‘Suraj Sankalp’.
Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and efforts to address unemployment and added that the CM Employment Festivals are being held in the state, inspired by the Prime Minister’s initiatives. In the last two employment festivals, 28, 200 youth have been given appointment letters. Now thousands of youths will also be given appointments in the third Chief Minister’s Employment Festival proposed in the month of December. Sharma said that the state government is also ensuring the conduct of transparent and time-bound recruitment examinations to fulfill the promise of providing employment to the youth. The Chief Minister has directed the Local Bodies Department to quickly expedite the application process for the recruitment of sanitation workers and conduct it with complete transparency. He said that the state government will also soon start the recruitment process for 48, 593 fourth class and equivalent posts and 3,170 drivers.
CM urges collectors to collaborate on district development projects
While reviewing the announcements of the revised budget 2024-25, the Chief Minister said that for the pending development projects at the district level, the collectors should discuss with the public representatives and ensure land allocation. He also directed the senior officers of various departments to continuously monitor important projects and programs.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Additional Chief Secretaries Abhay Kumar (Water Resources), Akhil Arora (Finance), Alok Gupta (Energy), Shikhar Aggarwal (Chief Minister’s Office), Kuldeep Ranka (Social Justice and Empowerment), Shreya Guha (Rural Development), Principal Secretary Alok Gupta (Chief Minister’s Office), and various other Principal Secretaries and Secretaries from different departments.
