The board for the by-election in the state has been completely laid out. Now it is the turn of election campaigning. At present, due to Diwali, the big leaders of the parties were not able to campaign for the by-election on all the seven seats, but now big meetings and rallies will start being organized from Monday. This by-election is an election of prestige for BJP, Congress as well as Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and Bharat Adivasi Party. While BJP-Congress is claiming to win seven seats each, RLP Khinvsar and BAP are eyeing Salumbhar-Chaurasi seat.
The election campaign could not intensify due to Diwali. However, all the four parties had organized big nomination meetings for their candidates. On behalf of BJP, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma himself held nomination meetings, while in Congress, former CM Ashok Gehlot and State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara as well as Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie attended these meetings. Hanuman Beniwal was present in RLP’s meeting and MP Rajkumar Roat was present in BAP’s meeting as big leaders. In such a situation, the election campaign will intensify again from Monday.
The strategy for election campaign on all the seats has been made by the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday. In this, star campaigners will be sent to the assembly constituencies. At present, the next tour of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has not been decided, but it is believed that if needed, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma can go for election campaign on the seat with tough competition. In such a situation, it has been decided that only State President Madan Rathore will go for an election campaign on all the seven seats.
Meanwhile, the responsibility of by-elections in Congress will now be handled mainly by State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie. The reason for this is that a few days ago Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has gone to Maharashtra for election campaign. In such a situation, Julie-Dotasra will have a big responsibility of by-elections. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot will hold several meetings and rallies in Dausa on Monday.
After the withdrawal of nominations in the by-elections to be held on 7 assembly seats, the situation has now become clear. Here, out of 7 seats, a triangular contest is expected on 4 seats Deoli-Uniyara, Jhunjhunu, Khinvsar and Deoli-Uniyara. Whereas in Chaurasi, the matter has become four-cornered. Here rebels of Bharat Adivasi Party are also in the election fray.
Tikaram Julie, Leader of Opposition said that, ‘Congress party will win the elections on all 7 seats.
All the party leaders are trying to ensure that all the candidates win the elections. BJP has not done any work in the last 10 months.
The public is ready to teach them a lesson. In the coming days, big meetings and road shows will also be organised in the by-election areas.’
Narayan Pancharia, Convenor, By-election Committee, BJP said that,
‘BJP is contesting the elections with full strength. In the coming time, State President Madan Rathod will visit all the seats. Local leaders and ministers will also visit. If needed, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma can also visit some seats.’
