Sunny Deol delighted fans with exciting news by announcing the sequel to India’s iconic war film, “Border 2.” He shared the announcement via his social media, and the video quickly went viral, prompting enthusiastic reactions from fans. Sunny Deol took to his Instagram handle, sharing a video in which we can hear his voice saying ‘27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai.” The caption read, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2.”

Recently, a report came in that preparations for Border 2 are almost done and makers are now planning to begin the shooting of the same. “The team behind Border 2 has been working tirelessly to prepare everything and it’s been a long time in the making as they wanted to do justice to the magnitude of the first film. Now, as the preparations are almost done, the team will begin shooting, as it stands now, the team will begin shooting in October,” a source claimed.

Another report suggests that the makers have planned to release Border 2 on Republic Day 2026. “Border 2 is targeting to hit the big screen on Friday, January 23, 2026 – leading to the Republic Day holiday on Monday, January 26, 2026. Being a film celebrating the bravery of Indian Armed Forces, the makers feel that there is no better date than Republic Day for the arrival of this Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana film,” an insider revealed.

In addition to “Border 2,” Sunny Deol is also working on another highly anticipated project titled “Lahore 1947,” in which he stars alongside Preity Zinta. This film delves into the historical events surrounding the partition of India and Pakistan, promising a gripping narrative. The shooting for “Lahore 1947” is currently underway, keeping Deol busy with the same. Fans eagerly await both projects, anticipating compelling performances and riveting storytelling from the acclaimed actor.
