Dinara is a development block in Bihar’s Rohtas district under the subdivision of Bikramganj, representing a predominantly agrarian belt about 40 kilometers away from Sasaram. This constituency one of the six segments of the Buxar Lok Sabha seat lies alongside the fertile Gangetic plains near the Sone River.
Historically, Dinara was part of ancient empires such as the Magadh, Maurya and Gupta dynasties, later ruled by Sher Shah Suri and the Mughals before coming under British control.
