Bodh Gaya (SC) Election Result: With the results now declared, Kumar Sarvjeet of the Rashtriya Janata Dal again has clinched a narrow but significant victory in Bodh Gaya, securing 1,00,236 votes and winning by a margin of 881 votes. Bodh Gaya, situated along the banks of the Lilajan (Phalgu) River in Bihar’s Gaya district, remains one of the four holiest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists worldwide. It is the sacred ground where Siddhartha Gautama—then a wandering ascetic and prince of Lumbini—attained enlightenment under the Mahabodhi tree in 534 BCE after renouncing worldly life at the age of 29.

The outcome not only marks a closely fought contest but also contributes to the evolving political narrative of Bodh Gaya’s historic constituency.
